Electric buses will start soon between Delhi-Jaipur, fares will be cheaper by 30 percent

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Monday that electric bus will be started by laying electric cable on Delhi Mumbai Express National Highway and the distance from Delhi to Jaipur will be covered in two hours and its fare will be 30 percent less than diesel bus.

Addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of 17 road projects with an investment of over Rs 2,500 crore in Udaipur to accelerate the development of Mewar, Gadkari said, “We are building a 67 km long four-lane road from Bandikui to Jaipur for Rs 1,370 crore. Expressway is being built.

He said, “This work will be completed by November 2024 and after that the journey from Delhi to Jaipur will be completed in two hours, I assure you this.” He said, “Delhi- The Mumbai Express Highway is the first in Asia and the second in the world on which we have built animal overpasses so that animals do not have to cross the road.”

Gadkari said, “I am very happy that we are making the roads of Rajasthan at par with the roads of the world.” The minister assured that before the end of 2024, the national highways of Rajasthan will become at par with the national highways of America.

He said that the Central Government is building an express highway in Rajasthan at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore and the 1,382 km long Delhi Mumbai Express Highway is being built at a cost of Rs 1 lakh crore, out of which work worth Rs 22,000 crore has been done in the state. .

On this occasion, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that Udaipur is very important from tourism point of view and it is called Kashmir of Rajasthan. Sharma said, “Now our government is about to complete 60 days. We are going to complete the resolution letter as soon as possible.”
